Can shift through a number of combinations of human and his natural form: Full human. Human with wings. Small normal looking Eagle, or huge true Garuda form. (His true Garuda form is similar in looks to his Eagle, however is far bigger, just past the size of a large horse.) All form shifts require energy to complete and where as he retains the presence of his clothing and weapons after a shift to the small eagle form, one to the Garuda form sheds all gear and leaves him bare upon turning back.
Has a limited ability with healing spells.
◊ Weapons:
Uses a short sword and shield when in human form. His style is defensive but he knows how to move and tack advantage of his opponent's weaknesses.
◊ History:
Kiri was born to a family of high bred Garuda Lords who liked to take their place among the fine politics and high ranks of Caelius. The large family resides in Si'Orphin Valley though often make trips to the nearby capital for this or that social event.
Kiri's father inherited a large amount of money from his grandfather who while still being nobility himself had been a brilliant trader and merchant. He took his first wife at a young age and had two children, Kathei-kasa, Kiri's oldest brother, and Kali-saka, Kiri's oldest sister. The wife died when their children were a few years old and Kiri's father remarried almost immediately then having three more children. Two boys, Kilu-kemi and Kohei-kivu, then one daughter, Kana-shiye. However, due to some personal issues the mother ended up leaving the family, entrusting the children to the rich house. The next marriage brought the final two children of the Narian family. Two more boys, Keya-keli and as the youngest, Kiri-haka.
As the youngest he was babied and nothing was expected of him. Even as a child Kiri found the life style almost intolerable and would act out, getting into fights and doing dangerous stunts just because he could. He never seemed to care that he got hurt, in fact a majority of the time he appeared to want just that. Kiri never told anyone, but he often used the resulting pain to cover up having to think much on the way his life was and where it was going.. or rather not going.
He never speaks of it, but just after Caelius returned from the sun, when Kiri was 18, he started to show interest in becoming a guard of Ziaray, he had a severe falling out with his oldest brother Kathei. The end result was Kathei defecting to Ares while swearing to kill Kiri should he ever see him again.
Kiri went to the academy and graduated with the highest marks going right into a rather nice position within the guard. General Aegle noticed his warm and kind demeanor as well as the fact that he was well learned and capable of protecting himself and others. She enlisted him as a personal caretaker of her baby son, Caelum. His duties were hardly respected by others, but he enjoyed the position and no one would dare speak against the General and her son. Otherwise Kiri did the normal job of a guard.
After that many things changed.
◊ Personality:
- Always warm and caring. Doesn't hesitate to help others as long as he is not participating in any battle. During battle he performs his job to the letter, however.
•Easily affectionate. Or rather can come across this way. Due to a few severe heart breaks in his past thanks to his own over readiness to love, Kiri has become weary of women in any relation other than acquaintances.
•Generally can seem bit vulnerable due to his bright demeanor, however he likes to think he can more than take care of himself and any other that comes along. In reality he's extremely naive when it comes to relationships though luckily tends to have his head about him in more other matters.
• More than a little masochistic. (stems from his method of rebellion when younger)
◊ Likes:
Sun bathing, having a good conversation, and eating a warm meal.
◊ Dislikes:
Going home, his brother Kathei, and cold places.
